A “substantial amount” of jewelry found in the French safe-deposit boxes and apartment of former Seattle real-estate magnate Michael R. Mastro and his wife, Linda, almost certainly will mean more money for Mastro’s creditors, the trustee in Mastro’s bankruptcy case says.

James Rigby said Monday that French police last week seized two safe-deposit boxes Jade Jewelry— each bigger than a shoebox and “stuffed” with jewelry — in Annecy, a city in the French Alps near the village where the Mastros were arrested last month after more than a year on the lam.

Among the gems: two giant diamond rings, with an estimated value of $1.4 million, that have played a central role in the Mastros’ bankruptcy and criminal cases.

“It’s got to be worth a tremendous amount of money,” the court-appointed trustee added. While he doesn’t yet have an inventory, he said, the recovered jewels’ value is “potentially millions of dollars.”

They are in the possession of French authorities, he said, but they should be returned to Seattle soon.

Date added: 10/16/2012 Jewelry Designer Nicole Trunfio

Nicole Trunfio’s career started with a bang at age 17 when Tom Ford discovered her during his time at Gucci, and in the past ten years, the Australian model has walked the runways for Versace, Roberto Cavalli, and Valentino, among others, and starred in campaigns for Karl Lagerfeld, Dolce & Gabbana, and Guess. I think that in today’s market, what’s more important is investment pieces that are personal,” she told Style.com of the line, which is available to purchase through her Web site. “For example, I wear a gold Rolex every single day and didn’t really wear a watch until I could get my gold Rolex.”

For more than five years I have owned a beautiful jade pendant that was given to me by my friend Wendy Walton Mishne. The pendant had belonged to Wendy’s mom, Trixie, and I was given this gift shortly after Trixie died. It is both a token of love and friendship. I had hoped to wear this gift once I found the proper necklace to attach the pendant.

Kieu was the person who came up with the solution for my pendant. Upon viewing the pendant she asked if I realized what a truly lovely piece of jade I owned. She then suggested I might consider jade beads separated by tiny gold beads as a possibility for a necklace that would incorporate the pendant.

When she strung some of the jade and gold beads on either side of the pendant I knew I had found the answer to my search for the necklace I had long desired. Jade Jewelry It is so beautiful and the cost was $190.00 which in the scheme of things seems like a very fair price.

Kieu Pham Gray teaches jewelry making all over the country. Teaching is what she loves most about her career. By Nov. 1 she will have made nine trips since June to places that include cities in Wisconsin, Arizona, St. Louis and the Bahamas. During this same time frame she flew to Thailand to take a personal training class.
